STOP RIGHT NOW WITH THE BABIES! (well, right after the 5 that I know are still growin') All these lovies are squashing any ounce of will power that I think I have!

This past weekend I had the pain pleasure of taking photographs of yet another beautiful bubby girl. Just creeping up on a month old and already she is the ruler of the house. Just look at the squishy lips and whispy eyelashes and you can clearly see why. Poor Daddy, he is outnumbered 3 to 1!

I chose these three images for the sneak peeks very carefully. I thought they represented all the amazingness of what my client is experiencing.

1) DUH - Beautiful bundle of joy...

2) DADDY - This is Daddy's first child and he has been blessed tremendously with a little baby girl.

3) FIRST LOVE - This is my clients first child. This is her beautiful first baby girl that stole her heart the moment she was born, even before. This is the girl that my client will love forever and in a way that can never be replaced. And let me just say... I think my client needs to lock her daughter in her room from now until forever. Whew. Enjoy the Sneaks!

Kim and I met EIGHT new friends this weekend. And one happy go lucky (and full or stickers) puppy. And our life is fuller because of it.

See, the cool thing for me is that Kim and I meet these people the day of the shoot, we goof off, hang out, talk about raising kids, make the parents do silly things in front of a camera, the normal stuff. Then the families go home and back to their regularly scheduled life (like to watch a football game on any of their FOUR screens).

But me, well, I keep reminiscing on the new found friendship as I proof the images. I get really into the smiles, the personalities, the characters.. and by the time I post their pictures I hope that Kim and I will be invited to their next party :)

I hope I will get to meet this famly again, because the thought of not seeing the little girls pouty lips and the big boy's squinty smile would be heartbreaking.

Mr. Handsome and Mrs. Beautiful, thank you so much for choosing Kim and I to take pictures of your family. You two and your kiddos were great to hang out with on a Sunday morning.

We also want to apologize again that your incredibly soft, clean, groomed puppy love found every sticker bush in the park we visited. I have been fretting over her sore ears all day.

And Mr. Handsome, Kim and I are assuring ourselves that the Niners would have lost even if we were yelling at the TV during the game. I hope some of you games turned out better than the 24-21 score favoring the Falcons.

But that's all I can say... so don't even try to get me to tell you more! Let's just say this young, highly successful, very confidant, perfectly sassy, super intelligent, down to earth woman wanted a picture for a very exciting upcoming event.

Fall is here and with that comes an excuse to buy NEW CLOTHES! Well, if you are me, you are more likely gonna dig out the warmer clothes from the back of the closet or from the bottom drawer of the dresser. Except for boots. I think I have to buy new boots! :)

But I digress. The purpose of this post is to inspire our Fall booked clients with some awesome clothes choices that will fit the season but be a vibrant contrast to the gray skies to come.

I am going to make an appointment immediately for the therapy I am going to need. Therapy because I already know that with all the babies coming soon I am gonna have the worse time not begging Mr. Kim for JUST. ONE. MORE. I am kidding. I think.

Sunday Kim and I had the pleasure of meeting another expectant Mom and Dad. They are due within the next few months - that brings the total to FOUR babies that will soon be arriving, all within weeks of one another.

When we entered the house to meet this family I embarassed myself tremendously by forgoing the polite handshake and instead went straight to touching the beautiful belly that would be the star for the day. I know! I KNOW! I really do know better than to do that, but my ovaries started to do all the thinking for me and all I could do was shake my head in disbelief at my own lack of social graces.

Mrs. G, please forgive me. As a peace offering I have THREE sneak peeks for you!

YES!! It's really that time! Hard to think about the holidays when it's still 90 degrees outside. But it's true, and with the holiday season fast approaching, I want to make sure that all our past and future clients are prepared. So, we are offering Merry Mini Sessions that include gift prints and custom made, personalized holiday cards!

The Merry Mini Session days are October 10 and November 7, 2009. The sessions will be at an outdoor location (TBD).We will accept up to 4 sessions each day between 8:30 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. The alloted sessions fill up quickly so don't hesitate to contact us to secure your preferred time and day.

This weekend was F.U.N. Kim and I (and our friends/assistants Kymn and Brian) were surrounded by a group of people that are as gorgeous as they are kind. For the second year in a row we were invited to take pictures of each individual family and of all of them together. We were honored!

The first sneak peek from the day is of the last family that we photographed. While their daughter was the primary subject, I have to say this sneak peek image is my favorite one from their entire session. A mother/daughter relationship, live, and in action. What can be better than a little girl giggling and smiling, tucked safe in her mommies arms.

I hope mom loves this image as much as I do...

Very often Kim and I receive calls from clients that are excited to document thier babies lives. Their newborns first smile, the toddlers first steps, the first graders blossoming personality... parents love when we can capture these precious "first" moments in print so they can remember them forever.

A recent session with this family reminded Kim and I that it is important to never lose the desire to capture your child's firsts... even when they are no longer watching Dora or shuffling around the living room in their daddy's shoes. Before these two beautiful 'kids' were off to live on their own or to go to college in some other city or state, their mom called us and asked for a family session... a family session with her grown children that will forever in her heart be her 'babies'. We were happy to oblige.

Kim and I are so blessed in what we do as photographers. While we enjoy immensely taking pictures, we are gifted twice for meeting the families we take pictures of. Our clients are the BEST! Hands down.

This weekend we met up with a couple that are celebrating the love they have for each other and the love of their blended family. They were so incredibly fun to photograph. We took over the campus with the all of them doing crazy things like jumping from benches, rolling in the grass, sitting in trees, and for the parents, a little k.i.s.s.i.n.g. I even learned to do a little hip howlin' - Whaaaa' Whaaaaaat?

When I learned that I would be photographing a boy with his toys I was thrilled! This little gentleman is a Star Wars fanatic! He boasts that he has over 100 Star Wars figurines, and for our session brought a bucket full of his favorites. There was not a shortage of smiles from him as he climbed over rocks and had Star Wars action fights. He even set up scenes for me to photograph! He also showed me each character, lined them up perfectly so I could clearly see their awesomeness, but what he didn't realize is that I was soaking up HIS awesomeness. Mom and Dad... enjoy.

Families Families Families... we have had a recent influx of family sessions and have LOVED it! Gibson Ranch is AWESOME! Thank you to my client for introducing us to an excellent location for our Sacramento clients. Rolling hills, awesome bridges, and groves of tree for the perfect shade. But, as awesome as the location was, our clients were a million times better. Kim and I photographed this family of four to start, but then included the grandparents and uncle for a full extended family session. While we had a blast, spending time with them made me miss my mom and dad! I called her as soon as I got home!
